Project Operations Manager (For a Leading Technology Platform)

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the ultimate go-to person in Myanmar for any new product, service, or feature deployment across the Grab platform.
  • Own end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) execution for product rollouts, including local testing, operational readiness, training, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Translate regional product roadmaps into locally actionable execution plans tailored to Myanmar’s market landscape.
  • Plan, lead, and execute multi-faceted projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Work closely with country leadership (Ops, Tech, Marketing, Comms, Engagement and Support Function ) and regional product management teams across Southeast Asia.
  • Establish clear project timelines, monitor milestones, manage risk mitigation strategies, and report performance metrics to Country Head.
  • Map, design, and continuously optimize end-to-end operational workflows for both Mobility (Rides) and Food/Deliveries verticals.
  • Standardize operating procedures for driver onboarding, merchant integration, fulfillment, and customer support resolution loops.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement data-driven improvements to increase platform efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary liaison aligning business goals between local country stakeholders and regional tech/product teams.
  • Manage expectations, facilitate issue resolution, and drive consensus across matrixed teams under tight deadlines.
  • Conduct training sessions and change management for local operational teams prior to major feature launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Project Management, Product Operations, Strategy & Operations, or Management Consulting.
  • Background in Tech/E-commerce, Banking, Tech Logistics, Telco, or On-Demand platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience planning and delivering complex, cross-functional projects on schedule and within budget using structured frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Exceptional capability to influence and build consensus among local, regional, technical, and non-technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience mapping user journeys, designing fulfillment processes, and optimizing supply/demand operations in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong capability to dissect root causes of operational friction, leverage data, and deploy pragmatic fixes quickly.
  • Flawless written and verbal communication skills in English and Burmese (essential for local ground operations and regional team reporting).

Other Information

  • Salary: MMK 3,000,000
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Off Days: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
  • Working Location: Yangon.
