Procurement Manager (For a Local Group of Companies)

Key Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
Work closely with the export sales team to understand buyer requirements and specifications.
Plan procurement activities based on export orders and forecast demand.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Monitor market price trends to achieve competitive procurement costs.
Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
Ensure all sourced products meet buyer specifications and export quality standards.
Coordinate with quality control teams to maintain product quality.
Monitor supplier performance regarding delivery timelines and quality.
Work closely with logistics and export documentation teams.
Ensure procurement aligns with shipment schedules and export documentation requirements.
Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and supplier performance reports for management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in Agricultural export operations.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Good knowledge of international trade and export requirements.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems.
