Lab Manager (For a Well-Established F&B Manufacturing Company)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures.
  • Conduct testing of raw materials (grains, rice, molasses, yeast, water).
  • Monitor fermentation parameters (pH, temperature, gravity, alcohol %).
  • Perform distillate analysis (ABV, congeners, methanol levels, impurities).
  • Manage daily laboratory activities and workflows.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments (GC, HPLC, spectrophotometer, densitometer, pH meter).
  • Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and traceability.
  • Supervise laboratory technicians and analysts.
  • Train staff on SOPs, testing methods, and safety procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Support product development and new formulation trials.
  • Ensure adherence to chemical handling and hazardous waste disposal standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience of Manager role.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of fermentation science and distillation processes.

Other Information

  • Salary: MMK 2,500,000 + Other Allowances
  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
  • Off Days: Sunday & Public Holidays
  • Working Location: Shwe Pyi Thar Township, Yangon.
