Financial Controller (For a Leading Financial Services Company)

Responsibilities

Oversee Group-wide accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations, and consolidation.
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance variance analysis to support business objectives.
Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, banking relationships, and financing activities to ensure adequate funding.
Strengthen financial controls, manage financial risks, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with approval authorities and policies.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, financial regulations, and coordinate external and internal audits.
Provide profitability analysis, investment assessments, business insights, and financial recommendations to Senior Management and the Board.
Lead and develop the Finance team while driving process improvements, ERP enhancements, automation, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
Experience in banking, microfinance, finance, or other financial services industries is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/MMFRS, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, performance analysis, investment evaluation, and strategic financial planning.
Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with high integrity and the ability to operate strategically and operationally.
