Senior Database Engineer (For an Int'l Insurance Company)

Responsibilities

Collaborates on the initial installation and configuration of a new database
Coordinate and manage database activities to support application development projects.
Report development and enhancement using reporting tools such as (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau)
DBAs create backup and recovery plans and procedures based on industry best practices.
Provide functional and technical support to ensure performance, operation and stability of database systems.
Prepare documentations of all database procedures and guidelines.
Assist in implementation, testing, and validating data and software systems.
Perform data analysis of key problem areas to assist in root cause analysis.
Audit data on a regular basis to ensure data integrity and quality.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Hands-on experience with MySQL database administration.
Experience with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud).
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
Experience with RMAN for backup and recovery.
Familiarity with Oracle & high-availability features (RAC, Data Guard).
Basic to intermediate knowledge of MySQL administration.
Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
