Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to analyze their financial processes, identify pain points, and gather business requirements for the Odoo ERP implementation.
- Design and configure the finance module within the Odoo platform to align with client requirements, including chart of accounts setup, tax configuration, payment workflows, and financial reporting.
- Provide expertise in finance-related areas such as accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, tax management, and cash flow management within the Odoo framework.
- Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the implemented finance module.
- Support end-users during the implementation phase by providing training sessions, creating user manuals, and addressing any functional issues or inquiries related to the finance module.
- Collaborate with the technical team to define customization requirements, assist with data migration, and ensure smooth integration of the finance module with other Odoo modules or third-party systems.
- Stay updated with the latest features and functionalities of the Odoo platform, especially those related to finance, and provide recommendations for process improvements or system enhancements to clients.
- Participate in project meetings, provide progress updates, and contribute to project documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and test scripts.
- Assist in pre-sales activities by demonstrating the finance module capabilities of Odoo to prospective clients and preparing proposals or estimates based on client requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant, specifically in implementing and configuring the finance module within the Odoo platform.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, tax management, and cash flow management.
- Familiarity with Odoo ERP platform, including its modules, architecture, and configuration capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to understand complex business requirements and translate them into functional solutions within the Odoo framework.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, understand their needs, and provide clear explanations and training on the Odoo finance module.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting project deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet client expectations.
- Prior experience in software implementation projects, preferably with ERP systems, is a plus.
