Modern Trade Executive (For an Int’l Trading Company)

Responsibilities

  1. Relationship Building:
    • Identify, initiate contact with, and establish productive relationships with modern trade accounts.
    • Act as the main point of contact between the company and modern trade partners, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
    • Cultivate a deep understanding of each partner’s business model, goals, and requirements
  2. Sales and Business Development:
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize sales and revenue opportunities within the modern trade sector.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create customized product offerings, promotions, and incentives that align with partners’ needs and strategies.
    • Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and promotions to drive business growth and achieve sales targets
  3. Trade Marketing and Promotion:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute impactful trade marketing initiatives, including in-store promotions, displays, and advertising campaigns.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and marketing activities, gathering feedback and insights to continually improve strategies
  4. Distribution and Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely distribution of products to modern trade partners.
    • Monitor inventory levels and product availability to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, optimizing supply chain efficiency.
    Market Intelligence:
    • Stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments within the modern trade sector.
    • Provide regular reports and analysis on market trends, partner performance, and key metrics to internal stakeholders
  5. Account Management:
    • Monitor partner performance against targets and objectives, proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with partners to discuss performance, opportunities, and challenges

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  2. Proven experience in modern trade, key account management, or business development within the consumer goods industry
  3. Individual familiarity to stakeholders will be an enormous advantage
  4. Strong negotiation and communication skills
  5. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends
  6. Familiarity with retail operations, supply chain, and distribution processes
  7. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and necessary tools
  8. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  9. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

Other Information

  • Salary: 800,000 ~ 1,000,000 MMK
  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday (9:00AM to 5:00PM)
  • Off Days: Sunday & Public Holidays
  • Working Location: Yankin Township, Yangon
