Chief Executive Officer (For a Leading Sports & Recreation Mgmt Company)

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligned with the company’s mission and goals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth. Lead the club in achieving its sporting and commercial objectives.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the sports related and sports complex. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including league rules and local laws. Manage budgets, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including fans, sponsors, regulatory bodies, and the local community. Act as the primary spokesperson for the club, representing its interests in public forums and media engagements.

  • Financial Performance: Drive revenue generation through ticket sales, merchandising, sponsorship, and other commercial activities.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure financial health and sustainability. Develop strategies to maximize the use of the sports complex facilities.
  • Sporting Success: Work closely with the Director of sports and coaching staff to support the development of the team. Ensure investment in player development, scouting, and sports science. Align sporting goals with the overall strategic vision of the club.
  • Community and Fan Engagement: Promote community involvement and enhance the club’s role as a community asset. Develop initiatives to increase fan engagement and satisfaction. Ensure the club’s values are reflected in all community and outreach programs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
  • A deep understanding of sports industry, including knowledge of league regulations and market trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Commitment to community engagement and corporate social responsibility.

Other Information

  • Salary: Negotiable
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
  • Off Days: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
  • Working Location: Hlaing Township, Yangon.
