  • Review and approve all project plan and specifications including plans for monitoring and tracking progress and plans for inspections
  • Manage changes to the project scopes, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Hire, train, mentor and manage the performance of engineering personnel and support personnel for engineering department
  • Identify and build relationships with qualified vendors and consultants to assist with functions to be outsourced, as well as negotiating terms of agreement
  • Determine and communicate project requirements, specifications, goals and objectives
  • Schedule and make assignments as needed, as well as taking control over procurement for necessary supplies and equipment
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Seek new business opportunities through networking, sales meetings, negotiations, cultivating referral sources
  • Recommend policy and procedure improvement
  • Report to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risk
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as professional and industry-specific standards and regulations
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Other duties as required to support engineering department and organization-wide needs



  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures set for the work performed in the department
  • Suggest strategies to management
  • Assign, direct and evaluate work of department members
  • Coach, train, and counsel Engineering team members
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
  • Evaluate on-the-job performance of department members
  •  Perform quality control checks, ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of the service


  • A degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computing or Computer Science or demonstrated relevant work experience
  • Holding Master degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years relevant management experience in the IT/Engineering industry with a strong customer experience focus (ELV system experience preferred)
  • Strong relationship building, change management and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated systems implementation, documentation, training, business analytics and reporting skills
